Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas at our house with Liz's parents and dog, the 3 G's (Grandma, Grandpa and Guinness) and lots of very thoughtful presents from our family (grandparents, aunts/uncle, and friends).  The day started early with the 3 G's coming over at 7 AM.  The girls were still sleeping (we had gone to church the night before - and yes, our girls were PERFECT!), but awoke shortly thereafter.  There was a little confusion whether Santa got it right as Morgan can read, but Bella is the HUGE Frozen fan and the Level 1 Reading book from Santa was in Bella's stocking with a Frisbee sticking out of the top of Morgan's.  :-)

We started with gifts under the tree and opened for a few hours, taking turns with Morgan helping to read who the presents were for.  Then we paused for lots of bacon, mimosas and fruit and a trip to the Hilltop playground which has distant views over the ocean and lots of monkeys bars which Morgan can traverse forward, turn and forward again and even do them backward!  Then it was nap time for all and we resumed at 4 PM with a presents, dinner and the Santa stockings.

Big hits were books starting Bella as a Glitter fin mermaid with her photo actually in it!!!  And Morgan has a woodland fairy!  Super cute!  Frozen doll, art sets, glow in the dark  pillows, super cute outfits, hair accessories, books...   And from us a surf board and boogie board and Grandma got them pearls - her big Black Friday amazing purchase story (we all were shocked, amazed and impressed that she would venture out on the busiest day of the year - but the pearl earrings and necklaces are beautiful!).  We also were given clothes and work out outfits, and I got a Kindle, which took awhile to get used to, but now I do love.  Jeff got workout equipment for the gym which is fun as the gym project is complete - photos to be uploaded on a separate post.

We also had great conversations with Jeff's family and my brother and his wife.  We ended the evening watching Frozen.
