Aunt Kiki's Visit!!

Aunt Kiki is here and we are having a blast!!  We kept it as a surprise from the girls because if we told them in advance they'd want to see her immediately!  And they were surprised.  Fortunately Kiki is here for 9 days which will be great.  She arrived Friday and after spoiling the girls with new pen sets and clothes, the adults went out to see a movie.  Saturday we had fun going to a playground and out to lunch, and today Morgan lit the chalice at church - she was super proud it was really cute.  Afterward we went to the playgrounds - swinging and running - trying to get them tired for nap.  Here are some cute photos!  Love JeLiMoBe and Kiki

Love on Valentine's Day and throughout the Year

Love has been the theme at our Unitarian Universalist church for a few weeks, and our Reverend has been emailing love quotes daily which has prompted me to send Valentine's Day cards this year, as I think it's a nice time to remember how important and strong love and remind close friends and family with a card.  Though I initially wanted to put a quote on the cards, in the end I thought I'd just send the photo of our girls and post some quotes  on the blog; below are some that we like:

Happy Valentine's Day

We lucked out with a few cute photos of the girls in their heart outfits and skinny pink jeans in between rain showers.  It was cold!  They were happy to have their fashion hats from Nana Nancy.  When we got back we were please the the 'perfect pic' and then laughed as the girls melted from the rain!!!  Pretty funny!  The whole thing last probably 2 minutes!   :-)

Valentine's Day Prep

Here are pictures from the night before Valentine's Day making cookies and finishing Valentine's to hand out at school.  Morgan is getting great with her letters and writing!  She knows them all and I can spell things for her and she writes legibly.  Impressive little left-hander (just like her Mom).

Carlsbad RG and Disney on Ice

I race guarded the Carlsbad half marathon which is a gorgeous course along the ocean with Jennifer  Was really fun and the last mile I got to run in with my good friend Cecily!  What a super race without incident or much volunteer efforts on my part!  The day started out rainy so we were concerned mainly with chaffing, but we ran in the middle of the pack and aside from a few walkers with tight muscles didn't see much.

That evening we took the girls to see Disney on Ice which they loved!
