Morgan's Birthday Party

Morgan had a Mickey Mouse (her new fav) party over Memorial Day weekend at the Carney Park playground. We all, Morgan, her parents and grandparents, spent Sat night at a cabin in Carney Park. It was a lot of fun - we BBQ'd, went for a bike-ride with Mo on the back, and played at the park. Memorial Day Monday we celebrated her birthday with her friends.

After we all sang Happy Birthday and Morgan had an audience, she led us in Itsy Bitsy Spider followed by A, B, C's!

Grandparents and Orvieto

Liz's parents arrived in Naples safely on May 13 and were able to skirt the volcano. Thursday night Jeff made everyone an excellent Italian meal with bruschetta and pasta! We had a great time catching up and parents were able to have a couple relaxing days to get over their jet lag.

Saturday morning we all drove up to Civitavecchia to take parents to board the 2-week Princess Mediterranean Cruise. After leaving them around mid-day, Jeff, Morgan and I drove the back country roads to Orvieto - a hill town in Umbria that's origins date back to the 8-9th century BC. Though it was raining we still had fun and toured the impressive Duomo (~1500s) and walked the cobblestone streets. Here are a few photos.

Love to everyone,

Liz, Jeff, Mo and Bella

Isabella Leigh Barris!

We found out May 6 that we are having another baby girl and so far she's developing nicely. We were able to see the 4 chamber heart and the oxygenation looks great and check out the brain and spine development. She's looking good and we are really excited! Morgan has been saying she wants "a sister, no brother" and she already gives my tummy hugs and kisses and says they are for Bella.

Morgan's Early Birthday

Morgan found the huge 5 ft long by 4 ft tall by 3 ft wide kitchen so we gave her 2nd birthday present early. She's such a smartie - when we told her it was for her birthday, she started to sing "Happy Birthday to You!" We are really impressed by all the songs she can sing and her speech is so clear and she gets the song tones right so we can quickly guess what she's singing - A, B, C's all the way through, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Old Mac Donald, Knick Knack Paddy Wack, Ring around the Rosie!

Morgan is doing really well in the Toddler class. She's now been in there about 2 weeks and though at first she missed her previous caregivers, she enjoying having more play time outside and more art projects.

She's also quite interested in the potty and used it a few times already! Both #1 and #2!

May 4th was our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and Jeff bought me 15 gorgeous long-stemmed roses, gave me a massage, and made me dinner. It was sweet.
