Grandparents and Orvieto
Liz's parents arrived in Naples safely on May 13 and were able to skirt the volcano. Thursday night Jeff made everyone an excellent Italian meal with bruschetta and pasta! We had a great time catching up and parents were able to have a couple relaxing days to get over their jet lag.
Saturday morning we all drove up to Civitavecchia to take parents to board the 2-week Princess Mediterranean Cruise. After leaving them around mid-day, Jeff, Morgan and I drove the back country roads to Orvieto - a hill town in Umbria that's origins date back to the 8-9th century BC. Though it was raining we still had fun and toured the impressive Duomo (~1500s) and walked the cobblestone streets. Here are a few photos.
Love to everyone,
Liz, Jeff, Mo and Bella
