Daughter Daddy Dance

The girls and Jeff had a blast dancing and eating way too much sugar at this year's Candyland themed Daughter Daddy Dance.  Morgan has outgrown most of the beautiful dresses my Mom bought her, but was lucky to find a very pale pink dress at Book Off (a Japanese thrift store [Japanese recycle shops are an awesome thing to find very well take care of, lightly used items, for great prices!]).  Bella wore Morgan's pink dress, and Jeff still fits into his tuxedo that he's had now for 15 years!  :-)  They looked great, and Jeff's favorite compliment was that he was looking very James Bond.

already a little nostalgic that my cute blue cube will not be coming back to SD with us...

Sumo wrestling - box seats

We splurged for Jeff's birthday present this year and got a Family Box seat and went on a Monday, Veteran's day during the Fukuoka 2-week grand championship.  It was awesome and the seats were really good that we could easily tell how old, injured, and bruised they were  - which was vital info as we had an internal family competition about who could predict the most wins.  It was pretty intense and resulted in us cheering as much as the Japanese fans.  Bella and I tied to win, which means that Jeff and Morgan have to make us cards saying that we are the best sumo winner predictors.

The seats were good and fortunately not so close that we didn't get fallen on, spit on (when they drink water they spit it out!), nor sweat on.  One guy did fall down on someone, and another did have some blood.  I don't know how they can move so fast and literally lift each other up.
