Plum blossoms

We went to Saikai Park to check out the blooming plum blossoms.

after my brother sent us a pic of his octopus he was grilling - we have been having fun taking our own octopus pics to send to him... only we aren't as daring as he and his family (including his cute kiddos are) to actually eat them.  we just take selfies!

Sasebo photo shoot

Jeff got me an awesome foot homedics shiatsu massager and I booked a family photographer for Valentine's day.  We decided to take photos in the Ginza where the girls go to piano, our favorite restaurants and 100 yen stores are.  She took over 100 and gave us all the digitals - we only expected 20-30 but they all came out great!  Here are a few pics.

Lantern Festival

We picked up the girls from school and hit the last day of the Nagasaki lantern festival.  It was great and we were able to catch the acrobatic show at one of the stages.  Our favorite performers were the lady unicyclist throwing bowls from her foot on to her head - she could throw up to 3 at a time that would flip up; the acrobatic ladies spinning plates, and the super strong guy doing gymnastic moves on 3 chairs stacked end to end.

Exploring Fukuoka

Although we've been here 3.5 years the only time we've spent in Fukuoka is at the airport.  President's weekend we decided to explore canal city, a few temples and shrines and then a few sites on the way back to Sasebo.

Straight A's again...

Morgan continues on her academic roll with straight A's into half of 5th grade.  It's always fun to go to the honor roll assembly.  I love that she wore a new dress from Granny Annie.
