Happy Halloween

The big Halloween party was cancelled Saturday due to another weekend storm watch (what's with the timing of these winds!); however the on-base trick-or-treating made up for it. People went all out and the girls had their best Halloween ever. This year Morgan, Jeff and I went with the movie Trolls theme - Morgan was Lady Glitter Sparkles, Jeff the troll Branch and me Poppy. Bella went as a unicorn with a very cute hat she had bought at the 100 yen store.

Yufuin Bella's birthday

Bella spent the night at her best friend Cammy's house and woke up to a birthday muffin there. Then we picked her up and drove a few hours to Yufuin. We had planned to go hiking, but instead walked around the cute town and spent our time soaking in Onsens. It was a nice two day, one night trip. Bella's 7th Birthday

We celebrated Bella's 7th birthday on Thursday afternoon at Nimitz Park (Thursday's are early release day from school). Seven of her friends were able to come and they had a great time bouncing in the bounce house, playing candy American Girl Doll bingo, eating pizza and cake (the largest double decker pieces you've seen!) and opening presents. Bella was the best hostess, running across the park to welcome her friends and lead them into the bounce house as soon as they arrived. She also made it perfectly clear to the bounce house workers that it was her birthday and she was the birthday girl (Jeff and I thought that was pretty cute and funny that she thought it was important they knew!).

Friday we had our family celebration. Bella woke up to pancakes and opened presents from Morgan and Friday night she got a new bike. Bella right away asked if she could put in on my bike trainer to try it out since it was raining outside. ;-)
