Azaleas

Cherry Blossoms are followed by Azaleas which are my favorite.  So many colors including pinks, purple, and white.

We were fortunate in that we made it back from Nepal and the cherry blossoms were still in full bloom.  The next day we went to the closest park to take photos after work, and then returned for a picnic lunch.  Check out our new Nepal - *100% silk/pashmina blend* (ha!) - scarves.  All three of ours have an elephant pattern in them that are pretty cool.  Here are a few of this year's sakura photos! 

Spring Break in Nepal

We took the girls on an extended 2-week spring break to Nepal.  We had an overnight layover in Kunming China there and back, but the trip was definitely worth it.  We spent a couple days in Kathmandu before taking a bus to Pokhara and then hiking in Annapurna.  We did a 6 day trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill, and then into Chomrong and the hot springs.  Jeff and I carried large packs - overpacked with every necessity and 'just in case' need, and hired two porters to help the girls and carry them if they got tired.  The girls did fabulously and only were carried a short time.  The majority of it the girls were hiking ahead with their porters - Nayaran and Bhabat while Jeff and I enjoyed hiking in silence.  :-)  It was a great family trip and the girls loved the tea houses and life along the trail.   Here are some photos.  Love Jelimobe
