Camp Pendleton
We scored on a last minute ocean view Camp Pendleton site for Saturday night. The news was reporting it to be a HOT weekend so we figured the beach would be the best place to be. It was a lot of fun. We had a campfire at night and Morgan thought of some pretty creative stories with sound effects. Jeff had a scary one about Trolls that sounded like waves that made their eyes bug out of their heads! :-)
The girls first made friends with these older boys the playground who were playing tag. Morgan was fast enough to catch them, but not Bella. So when Bella would get tagged she'd tag me and then I'd try to chase down the boys. After playing that for awhile they made friends with a 5-year old girl and played with her digging holes in the sand and later playing the waves. The weather was beautiful and water warm. I even got it in for a quick dip.
This morning we walked to Trestles to watch the surfers at the point. There were a lot of young boys in the water with their coaches - amazing talent!
I forgot to take pictures until this morning so bribed the girls with gum. Only I gave them gum before the last shot, so you can see them trying to hide it in their mouths. Amazing what they will do for chewing gum! A lot easier to keep in my purse then melty treats!
