We all went to Disney on Ice the last night that Grandparents were in San Diego. It was a GREAT show with Rapunzel, Ariel, Merida and Belle princess stories. We all enjoyed it.
Winter also brings great sunsets to San Diego. Here are a few shots from our backyard.
Morgan had a fund raising Jog-a-Thon at school. Fortunately Uncle John and Kaitlin had the cute idea of paying her $1 for each purple thing she wore (her class color) vice laps as she got tripped up at the start. At first we thought it was just skinned knees but later in the week when she was still complaining that her arm hurt we took her in and it is broken. She was seen by the school nurse and bandaged up immediately and I was there too for comfort. The last few minutes, Morgan, her teacher and I all walked a lap holding hands. She'll be in a cast for 6 weeks. She's been a very good sport about the whole thing.
The girls were very excited about Valentine's this year. Morgan made her own and decorated her Valentine's box which was full of candies and cards at the end of the day. They also had a cupcake decorating party in school.
We also had a fun Skype call with Kristin while the girls opened their Christmas presents. The girls who are really into the new Disney movie Frozen thought the huge icicles on Kiki's door were neat. Kristin bought them both very cute outfits which they happily tried on to model.
Lastly - the girls enjoyed going to the Bug's Salon for their nails. Not only is he a talented painter, but he mixes his own colors and sparkles!!!
