Nana Nancy and Greg's Visit

Nana Nancy and Greg came to visit in Mid-May.  We had a great time!  They came for a long weekend and the time went way to fast.  Highlights were going to La Jolla shores with the kiddos, eating Mexican food kid-free later that evening, catching the Red Wings game, golf, Nancy's beef stew, and walking around downtown.  Here are some photos from the beach and Morgan's first time surfing.  Daddy Jeff is a great teacher!!

Morgan's 1st Tooth

Morgan lost her first tooth on May 15th.  It is in the bottom front, just left of center, and has been loose for about a week.  Apparently she was wiggling it at school and Ms. Kim her teacher said to grab a tissue and pull it out - which Morgan proudly did.  I got a courtesy call at school and was told how excited she was.

Morgan has been asking all about the Tooth Fairy such as where she lives, why she likes teeth, what she does with them (Morgan's favorite word right now is - why? - so you can imagine how curious she is).  Fortunately in addition to money, the tooth fairy brought a book that explains why she collects teeth.  If you are curious, you'll have to ask Morgan.

After losing her tooth, Morgan had her 2nd but first real dental cleaning.  She learned all about sugar bugs and sugar cavities.  And we are now trying to floss at home.

Bella's Big Bed, New Toddler Classroom and Mom's Day

Bella has been sleeping on her crib mattress on the floor for a few weeks without rolling off, so we figured it was time to put in her twin bed (which matches Morgan's).  Jeff surprised her by taking out her crib and setting up her new bed while we played downstairs - these photos are her first reaction to her new room.

A few weeks after getting her new bed; Bella moved up in school to toddler class.  She loves Ms. Zeny and Ms. Kathy, as do we, so it was a bitter sweet transition.  Her last day was right before Mother's Day.  She brought them flowers, gave the flowers to her teachers, and then laughed as she an away with a bouquet.  It was cute!

My Mother's Day was fun.  Jeff bought me Sherry's chocolate covered berries, made breakfast and was 'on kid duty' the entire day!  Was really fun.  Here are some photos.
