Easter Weekend

It was a fun weekend Easter weekend with lots of candy, eggs, and photos!!  Saturday while Jeff helped at the Church with a building project, I took the girls down the street to our neighborhood celebration.  Wow - I was impressed - there was a bounce house, bunny, face painter and egg hunts!!  The girls had fun!  Bella was a little scared of the Bunny so I jumped in the group photo holding her, and grabbed a candy for her, and when she was a safe distance away she said - "Bunny - Thank You!"

Easter Sunday started early - notice the sun isn't up! - with a 5:45 AM egg hunt downstairs.  Bella found the first egg in the house, but Morgan was definitely the quickest finding lots more.  The Easter Bunny was a hit bringing new swimsuits, hoola hoops, art trays, camping lights and candy!!!  The girls got cards and candies from relatives - thanks!!! 

Today was the annual Flower Communion at Church.  We brought birds of paradise from our garden, and the girls had another egg hunt at Church.  This one they had to find the 7 UU Principles in the plastic eggs and once they had all of them - then they got the candy bag.

After that we all had a long nap, and now are off to meet a friend and her boys at the playground!

Getting Ready for Easter and the Zoo

We had a fun weekend - saw the children's ballet Beauty and Beast in Balboa Park and went to the zoo, plus this morning before church colored Easter eggs.  Bella dumped the blue all over her body!  Morgan did a great job painting them.  I had a nice long run yesterday and Jeff got in a few surf sessions.  Yesterday we all went to PB to watch and play in the sand.  A great, fun weekend!

Fun at the Beach

This morning before church we went to watch the Roxy San Elijo surf competition.  It was fun to see all the surfers in the water and the girls had fun running around.  Here are some photos! 

It's been a great weekend w/ a 40th birthday celebration last night for a close friend, Jeff made major progress on the home gym/garage, an open house at our neighborhood YMCA where I taught a cycle demo, and a long 19.3 mile training run for me.

Camp Pendleton Weekend!

We spent Friday and Saturday nights beach camping at Camp Pendleton.  The girls loved it, and Jeff was excited to be able to buy a new tent - check out the 3-bedroom condo!  It's massive!!!   We had a nice bonfire each night and lots of beach play on Saturday - playing in the sand, running in the waves, and playing at the playground.  Jeff and I got to surf - though the waves were head high and pretty steep.   Even though we both paddled for waves, were a little happy we did't catch them with the possibility of pearling!   It's been since early December since we were out.


It was especially fun having Kristin with us. The girls loved playing with her.  Check out the cute photos!  Love all 5 of us!
