Granny Annie Visit for Bella's 2nd Birthday!
Granny Annie came to visit for Bella's 2nd birthday! We had a great visit and the girls loved it! Mom got to see the girls swim lesson and also get in the water and swim with them too! Fortunately both girls love the water and it's fun to watch them progress. Bella had fun swimming between Granny and Mommy, while Morgan practiced her backstroke and freestyle in her lesson.
The weekend before Bella's birthday, Uncle John and Aunt Kaitlin came down from LA to visit. We had a family birthday celebration at our house with lots of sugary cupcakes and cookies, and presents. Bella got lots of presents and cards from her Michigan relatives too. It was very special and fun! Afterward we went to the beach and Jeff and I got to surf together - the first time since we've been back (typically we take turns watching the girls). We were both happy to catch some waves.
We've been going to the Unitarian Universalist church on Sundays and are really enjoying it - yoga for the family as my friend puts it. Morgan has started the pre-school there where she is learning about her special talents she brings to the community and how to live with more contentment. This Sunday we will be formally re-instating our membership and are excited about that.
Monday was Bella's birthday and I had a the day off, so the 4 ladies (Granny, Mommy and the girls) went to Kid Ventures in Pacific Beach which was fun. The girls loved playing with the dolls in the nursery, on the fire truck, in the store, dancing and Mo is great at the climbing wall.
All is well - just pretty busy. We've actually now started Morgan in Saturday soccer. We did pre-ballet and tap the month before which she thought was okay. Soccer where she can run, jump, and scream seem more her speed. Saturdays she does that while Bella takes her swim lesson - which is supposed to be just with her, but last week Mommy ended up getting quite wet too!
Work for both of us is going well. Mine has been busy with the end of the fiscal year and budget planning for the next. Jeff is involved with the growth and business decisions in his, taking on more leadership roles.
Our only complaints are there is no time do to housework - but we're working on Bella to do it! :-) Love you all - JeLiMoBe
