Aunt Kiki's Visit

... was WAY TOO short!!!  Kristin slept on an aerobed with Morgan in her room for the long weekend.  Super cute and Morgan LOVED IT!!!  I even heard them up early in the morning chatting and watching videos on Kiki's smart phone.  Morgan was in heaven playing with Kiki, and all the girls - myself included - loved the new Hello Kitty matching pajamas.  Bella thought it was super cute too and kept saying, "Kitty Mama, Kitty Momo, Kitty Kiki and Kitty Me!!"

We had fun activating our Legoland annual passes - our first time there.  Unfortunately I made the mistake of riding next to Morgan on a scary roller coaster and maybe wrecked her spirit as she was terrified!  I was freaked and right after the downhill, Jeff turned around to say - "you are supposed to be holding Mo!"  which I hadn't thought of.  :-)

There are tons of rides and lots of water fun (which we weren't prepared for - no swimsuits or extra clothes).  Jeff thought it was hilarious that both Bella and I got majorly dumped on with the huge bucket of ice water!

Saturday night we had a babysitter and went out in La Jolla which was fun.  Lots of street musicians.

Next time the visit will have to be a lot longer.  Here are some photos!!

End of Summer: Lake Tahoe

We just got back from a relaxing week at Lake Tahoe (caveated by the fact that Bella is 23 mos and Morgan 4!).   The first time for all four of us to visit Tahoe - and we had a great time.   We went on a couple nice bike rides from our hotel to different beaches - Baldwin and Pope, and went on a 5-mile hike from Fallen Leaf Lake to Grass Lake, and did the 3 mi down and back hike to the beach at Emerald Bay.  We also drove around the Lake, played at the hotel pool and playground, and made great use of the kitchenette in our suite.  The weather was perfect and the drive up and back, not too bad.  Here are a few photos.  The water was still chilly - but nice enough for a quick dip!

Oh and I also managed to squeeze in a 12-mile and a 6-mile run, and we hit up a garage sale and bought Bella a desk and chair.  Don't know how Jeff does it - but he was able to pack in our mtn bikes, a bike trailer, 2 kid pack-backs, our clothes, all our camping supplies since we camped at Pendleton on the way out (aerobed, tent, etc!).   Thanks Mom and Dad for your van - we love it!!
