Sleeping Babies

Hard to believe summer is almost over.  We've enjoyed it.  Morgan has had weekly private swimming lessons just trying to gain the basic safety bobbing.  She loves the water, but it's been hard to be consistent about getting to the pool.  Two weeks ago we went to the beach at Gaeta and she loved it!  She spent hours taken the sand to the ocean, and the water to the shore.

Jeff has been golfing weekly and tomorrow is in the 4th round and Finals for match play!  Great job Jeff!  He's either #1 or #2 so we'll see tomorrow.  I have been riding Wed evenings afterwork and then running long on Sundays while Jeff has been golfing and we've been getting a babysitter/playmate for MoBe.  The Wed rides have been anywhere from 27 miles with 2700 ft of climbing (mainly up and down) to 40 miles with 1200 ft of climbing (more flat).  My long runs have been up to 16 miles - training for the Oct marathon - and fortunately I've got friends who also run so have a lot of company.

Bella has been growing tons and last weekend signed 3 words- milk, more and eat!!! She was so excited to communicate - it was adorable to watch.  She'll sign with Morgan too.

Actually as I write this, Morgan and Maddie (her best friend) are running around the house.  Last night was Morgan's first sleepover.  Maddie spent the night and the girls loved it!!!  Mo and Maddie are now in Bells' room as I guess she's awake - must run to get her.

Love you all JeLiMoBe

Welcome Home Dad

Liz had a 3-day business trip to Sicily which was really fun as we stayed in downtown Catania and got to do some sightseeing, plus eat brioche (sweet bread) gelato sandwiches!  After Liz's trip the very next week Jeff had a week long trip to Chicago.  He had a great time too as his sister Kristin and Dad met him and they all went to a baseball game in Chicago.   These are the photos from when we picked him up from the airport (as you can tell the ladies missed him a lot!).
