Germany Road Trip

The end of Germany we all drove up to Sonthofen Germany as Liz had a work conference where she had to facilitate a breakout session and also was selected as a speaker on Natural and Cultural Resources Management. The first night Jeff drove us from Naples to Garmish, though Edelweiss was full we still had their buffet dinner which was great.  We found a B&B in town that was nice and the next morning drove to the conference.  

We were almost to the conference site on a little backroad when we came up on construction/road closure.  Our GPS did not know how to figure it out and kept leading us back to this one spot.  Needless to say, we ended up driving 60 min the wrong way until we could get the GPS to figure out a different route.  I wasn't late, but had to change into my work clothes in the car!

The Allgau Stern hotel and conference center is in a gorgeous spot.  Our room was really nice too as is the hotel swimming pool.   All 4 of us enjoyed playing in the pool.  All meals were included - buffet style.  We had a good time and I brought my bike and got in one nice ride and two nice runs - green without trash (what a bonus!).
