Showing Off Bella - First Stop, MI
We stayed at Kristin's (Kiki) house and she had organized for us to see everyone and really maximize the few days that we had. Aunt Robin and Uncle Gregg drove up from Ohio to see us as well which was really nice. Michigan was freezing, and Morgan had fun playing in the snow with Kristin, especially after we bought her new snow boots. Morgan's first snow experience.
Just like being tentative about the snow, it took Mo awhile to warm up to Zoey. Unlike when she was 14 months and afraid of nothing, Mo would get a little scared and then order Zoey to "nap time, go to bed" and point to her doggie bed in the corner of the room.
Sunday Jeff's Grandma, G.G. to Mo, came over with Aunt Sherri and cousin Lisa and her family. Lisa's 3 week old Max was really cute and her 4 year-old daughter Alex had fun jumping on the aerobed with Morgan. Funny how they would sing about "Monkeys Jumping on the Bed", fall off and do it again! Later that evening Nana Nancy and Greg stopped by, but by then jet lag was catching up with us so it was a short visit.
Monday morning Kristin took me to the gym to have a personal training session with her trainer Phil. It was great and really hard, but I learned some new butt/leg exercises. Mid-morning, Jeff's Dad took us to the Children Museum in Ann Arbor. It was great and we could have spent all day there as there were so many interactive exhibits. Morgan loved it - there was a fire truck area, tide pools, slides, and even a place for infants. They also had electricity exhibits and huge bubbles. Monday evening Susan and her sister came by Kiki's house to see all of us. We had fun time chatting and catching up.
Tuesday we went to Christmas town, Canterbury Farms, with Jeff's Mom and then she took us to Rain Forest Cafe. We got to sit right next to the elephants and Morgan had a blast! Afterward we went shopping and hit up the clearance section of the Disney Outlet, and then went to Jeepers Creepers where Morgan got to go down slides and climb. Check out the new poses that Morgan learned!! Tuesday night Nana Nancy made Jeff's favorite meal - pot roast and mashed potatoes, which is now also probably Mo's favorite meal as she does what Daddy does.
Wednesday morning Kiki took us to the airport to catch an 8 AM flight to San Diego.
Wish we had more time in Michigan to see everyone, but am glad we got to see everyone.
Love, Jeff + family
