Wahoo!! We got married Friday on Cuatro de Mayo. The clouds parted just in time for our outdoor Torrey Pines wedding ceremony. It was perfect! We had a string trio - violin, cello, and flute. Rev. Jim Grant our Unitarian Universalist minister gave the ceremony. It was very special and touched everyone's heart.
Afterward we went to Brokton Villas for lunch in La Jolla overlooking the cove, and began the first of our champagne toasts. In the evening we had a party at our place. Margaritas, cerevas, carne asada and Mexican music made the evening festive. Around 1 AM we closed down the party and went to the hotel in Del Mar.
Saturday was spent showing family the sights - shopping in the Cedros district of Solana Beach, Coronado and the Hotel Del, Mission Beach and the board walk. In the evening we celebrated Cinco de Mayo at En Fuego.
It was a great wedding weekend and went exactly as we hoped it would. Ole!
We are going to honeymoon in Ecuador in November. In the meantime, when the photos from the ceremony are ready we will update the blog with those.
